About Yufeng Wang
I am a Chinese brush painting artist and college professor in Dayton, Ohio. As a teenager, my love of traditional Chinese paintings was inspired by the renowned artists Sun Qifeng and Fan Zeng in Tianjin, China. I studied Chinese brush painting with the noted artist Mr. Afu Hong from Fujian Province in China. My artwork desires to reflect and create a sense of peace and harmony in nature and humanity. Through Chinese brush painting and calligraphy, I try to convey the inner spirits and outer beauty of our surroundings. I use a fine-tipped Chinese brush with ink and color on paper and silk, creating a rhythmic synchronization of stroke variations and texture expressions to form a mind image of the subject.
